sooo tired
No wonder, since even though it's only 8 PM local time, it's 5 AM back home. So! Today I met up with my boss and we saw the outside of the Palace and then we went to Asakusa. THAT WAS NIFTY. I swear I must have seen it somewhere before, because, no lie, I remember a dream about being in that outdoor mall area. (It was a dream where I was Ty Lee and my troupe was performing there and Azula was trying to recruit me into her ranks. Don't ask.) And we had yakiniku for lunch and it was SO GOOD. Then I went back and dropped off some stuff at the flat and killed some time by riding the Yamanote-sen up past Shibuya to Harajuku, wandered around a bit, caught another train to Akihabara (yes, again) and spent more money. I'm looking for TWEWY for ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) setra but I got distracted by a shop with a huge King Metal Slime plushie in it, so I looked in and was glad I did. I got a set of adorable little Miyazaki plushies for my parents and some P4 stuff for setra and ladyofthegate. And I saw some awesome SMT:DS:RKVKA pins and a book cover, but I ended up getting something EVEN MORE AWESOMER that I'll have to post pictures of before anyone will believe me. Let's just say that Morgan is a terrible enabler and leave it at that. Dinner was with Dr. Gonmori from...I think he's from Hamamatsu Medical University and a colleage of his, Dr. Tanaka (? didn't get his business card). Looking back, I realize the entire dinner conversation was in Japanese. Go me! ...Tomorrow we're heading into Choshi so may or may not have the net, idk. |

I saw a York Mart from the train
I can't post pictures yet because I'm on a slow connection, but I'm taking plenty, although I missed the York Mart. I have had Rainbow Boss and Silky Black Boss coffee (yummy). I ahd breakfast at Mister Donut (where I ahd some completely random things, one lavendar and puffy and one green-tea flavored, crunchy, and filled with cream). I found a 7-11 and got a Lugia stamp, saw that some SHinkansen cars have Pokemon on them (which I clearly need to find for my shinkansen ride), and bought a random Giratina thingie at the 100-yen store. On the plane ride over I completed my Pokedex. Following Laoris's stunnign example of catching a Giratina in a Nest Ball, I caught my Giratina in a Luxury Ball and named it Washington. Also, my Heatran is in a Heal Ball and is named Peachy. I visited Emergency Assistance Japan and met with Mr. Aoki, the CEO. Apparently my name has been put forth for a job there, which would be awesomesauce. They're a company that basically helps out Japanese people who get sick in foreign countries. I ahve two more nights in the Tokyo area (I'm in Yokohama right now) before leaving for Choshi. Also, DSes outnumber PSPs on the trains by like 15 to 1. That's all I can think of for now. Japan is hot aqnd humid. |
